She started her career in Bollywood with Kaizad Gustad’s ‘Boom’ in 2003 but this film failed to give her recognition in the industry. Initially, directors were hesitant to sign her as she couldn’t speak Hindi.
Katrina tasted success for the first time in 2005 in Ram Gopal Verma’s ‘Sarkar’ where she played the role of Abhishek Bachchan’s girlfriend. She never looked back after that.
Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya’ (2005) got her the stardust award. After that Bollywood’s one of the hottest onscreen couple came in to picture when she appeared in ‘Humko Deewana Kar Gaye’ with Akshay Kumar.
A series of box-office hits came right after that. Her ‘Namstey London’, ‘Singh Is King’ and ‘Welcome’ with Akshay Kumar in 2007-08 were the biggest hits of the year. That’s why Akshay is to be called her lucky charm as well.

Katrina’s elegant beauty made her the most searched celebrity on Google in 2008 and was also voted Asia’s sexiest women. She has been irreplaceable in the industry in recent times.
