Latest Bollywood entrant and Bangalore girl Anushka Sharma was in the city for the launch of the Jack and Jones store in Indiranagar. Mybangalore.com caught up with the vivacious actor for a round of few question. Excerpts:
What are your favorite clothes? What do you love to wear?
Actually I am a very casual person. I like to dress up in clothes which make me feel comfortable and it should not change ‘me’. I like wearing a pair of jeans and a T Shirt. I am not a fashion victim. I don’t try to follow trends too much. I am not reading about the latest trends. I don’t care about that stuff.
You have been called the latest trend setter. How do you feel about it?
Have I been called as the latest trend setter? I don’t know about that. It is a compliment. Thank you so much for that. I just feel like everybody should be themselves. Everybody has their personality, unique individuality. I think we should try hard to bring that out rather than trying to follow fashion trends
You started your Bollywood innings with Shah Rukh Khan. Did that make it easier for you ease into Bollywood?
Actually I never intended to do any films. This was something really unexpected. But now that I am here I am really lucky that I came in such a huge way. I like this a lot, what I am doing.
Which is your ‘dream role’?
I am too young right now to have dream roles. Let me have at least five roles that I have played and then I can decide on my dream role. I can say ok now I have done all this and this is my dream role.
How was working with Shahid Kapoor?
Shahid is a fun guy. He’s a great actor. It is always nice to work with good actors. It betters your performance also.
Apart from this film, what else is lined up?
Right now I am busy with this one. Next there is a movie with Yash Raj. There is also something else after that. You will hear about it when everything is decided. You know I only feel like talking about stuff if everything is confirmed.
You are a Bangalore girl. What are your thoughts about the city?
I love Bangalore. I love the city. This is where I grew up. This is where all my memories are, where my friends are. I miss it. I am looking forward to come back.
Alright choose one. Bangalore or Mumbai?
I cannot do that! Bangalore has given me the foundation. Mumbai has given me a lot of things in my life. Hey its India man, common!
