Akshay Kumar plays a Hollywood stuntman in Kambakkht Ishq and what better way to promote the film than by doing a daring stunt live in front of his fans.That was the literal promotional stunt Akki pulled while promoting his latest release in New Delhi on Thursday evening.
Dressed in a black body hugging full-sleeved T-shirt, jeans, sports shoes and shades, the actor jumped off a 60-foot high elevated structure using safety cables. But before taking the leap, he played his comic self with the fans and the media at DLF place in Saket.
Perched 60 feet high, the superstar interacted with media.
“Hi media. Won't you like to ask me anything right now. I've done almost 120 films and I haven't seen such a pc (press conference). Go on, ask what you want. I won't jump before you do,” he said.
Before doing the stunt, Akshay also warned his fans not to imitate stunts they see in films or live.
“Stunts are amazing but please don't do them... it's way too dangerous. Three months ago, my cousin was trying one of my glass breaking stunts from the film and he ended up with a lot of stitches. Even we (actors) have to undergo a lot of rehearsals before doing them,” he insisted before jumping off the ledge.
After the stunt, Akshay was joined by Kareena Kapoor his co-star in the film. The movie is about the battle of the sexes, with Kareena playing a feminist and Akshay a male chauvinist.
